Gray hexagons

Hexagon bedcover is finished! I haven't crocheted for years... Turned out pretty fun project to make. Pattern from rosa P. here .
  •  Finished measurments 100x142 cm. Just big enough for Kristofer's bed. He is very happy with the result.
  • 104 hexagons
  • Yarn used ~250g Novita Nalle 044 and ~400g Novita Nalle 043
  • All colorful yarns are different leftovers.

Deco problem

My Deco was almost finished - just had half of second sleeve to make and collarband... and then I discovered in a daylight (I usually knit in the evening since I don’t have time to knit during daytime) that in mid-back, where I changed the skein, it is in totally different colour!
So my Deco now is again ripped off until mid-back...

Note to self - always check yarn, before knitting, in daylight.

Grrr....

"Be at war with your vices; at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man."

I feel very inspired by the new year. There's so much I want to learn and do on 2012.

The beginning of the year is a good time to start different project. Since I'm knitting all year around I rather think about starting some photo project. I already tried "365 days" project and pretty much failed. I know myself that much to know I shouldn't start a new one. I don't understand how people not just manage to take a good picture every day, but manage to take 365 days good portraits of themselfes! ...some go 2nd or 3rd round...

I'm concidering "52 weeks of me" project - have to take 1 selfportrait every week. Since I'm already in Me Again Monday group it can be an option.

Second option is to do "365 days" in From Where I Stand perspective. "So stop, take a look around, look straight down and record that special moment in time. Don't forget to capture your feet, even if its just a little bit, and then show us where you've been, what it looked like, and what you were doing. Any kind of camera will do!"

Would be a nice challange.

I got explored!

Yes indeed - I got explored!
This is one of the best things that can happen to you in Flickr. Your picture will be chosen as one of the best pictures of the day.
Picture was taken for Me Again Monday group - group for self portraits with new theme for each week. This weeks theme was Best of 2011. I chose photography as something I'm really happy for this year and this is something that even made me go in Flickr. And I got Explored.
(I wasn't really happy about the outcome and Thibault told me he doesn't like the picture beacuse it's too blurry...) ...but I got Explored!

I'm proud of myself.
...even if I have a dirty lense...

A turkey never voted for an early Christmas*

Where has all this time went? Christmas is in 4 days and there's NO Christmas spirit. Not at all. Outside it's raining non-stop. There hasn't been even 2cm of snow this year. Degrees stay stubornly above 0.

It looks like children feel a bit the same way - this year noone wanted to go to get the Christmas tree with men.
Despite all that we have done some preperations.
All the songs and verses for Santa's visit are learned and rehersed.
Gingerbreads are done!

Everybody helped.

Outcome looks stunning and delicious!

Even when right now it doesn't feel like Christmas at all, I'm still hopeful and pretty sure that Christmas feeling sneaks in soon enough!

Everyone, have a jolly good Chritmas!

Bacchus

This was the project I wanted to do for a long time. I had great expectations and I didn't had to dissapoint. Except the fact that I followed the pattern word by word and it was supposed to be for size 36...turned out to be size 39 or even bigger...

Yarn used was Jojoland Melody Superwash. Needles 2.0mm.

Great pattern! Probably will do again sometimes.

Waldorf fair.

This weekend we went to Waldorf fair. It was a lot of fun with different handcraft stands, lottery, live music, cafe with homebaked cakes and cookies, fairytales for children, auction and different handcraft workshops!

Stupid me, I left my camera at home so I had to take pictures later of what we got.

Here's a cat that Kristofer made himself in one of the handcraft workshops. He made mummy proud!
This is what Kristofer won with lottery - old children's storybook and

a brooch for me! I also bought 3 of those lovely brooches! They are so simple and beautiful!
Kristofer made his very first purchase with his own money. Later at home he decorated it a bit...
Two of those beautiful angels live at our home now. 1 will be a gift to my mother.

We had a lot of fun and can't wait for the next years fair!
